Packing Sandals Was My Only Good Decision

Got to the airport around midnight. Ready to navigate clean airport. Bathroom were clean. Uber pick up was from B 19-20 area. Since landed in PR, its been a great experience.

One of my least favorite airports. The restaurants are a mix of American fast food: dominoes, popeyes; international fare: ramen, Spanish; and gas station food. And it's so expensive. Yes airports are expensive, but it's expensive and unsatisfying. Then the duty free is a waste of time. You can get the same items on the island and just pack it in your bag and save a bunch of money. And the security is super relaxed. I have a subdermal device that always get me pat down. I went through, they asked if I had a necklace, I said yes, and they cleared me. The airport isn't bad, it's just not good and spending time there isn't fun.

US Territory Advantage Even though it feels like a tropical escape, SJU is a U.S. domestic airport. No immigration for U.S. citizens arriving from the mainland. 10. Great airport. Best advice be there 2 to 3hr early just to be on the safe side. Just please wary of one of elevators to the terminals it will get stuck especially trying to get out. Follow these steps when at the airport have your bags go threw scanner so they can yellow tag it, then go to the counter and have your bag checked in after that you have to get in line for TSA, it can be really quick so just be patient and you shall make it to your flight.

I was flying out of Terminal A at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, and honestly the experience getting in was rough. With everything going on around the government shutdown, TSA was extremely slow—long lines and pretty chaotic just to get through the initial checkpoint. Definitely give yourself extra time. The airport itself feels older and a bit worn down. It could really use a refresh. That said, once you’re inside, there are actually a lot of solid food options for breakfast and lunch, plus some good shopping and local snacks. On the bright side, flights seem to run pretty smoothly and leave on time, which helps make up for the hassle getting in. Not my favorite airport, but it gets the job done for the area.

Plaza Las Delicias is one of the highlights of Ponce. There’s so much to do around the plaza, tons of places to eat, coffee spots, bars, shops, and just a lot of energy throughout the area. It’s a great reminder that there’s a lot more to Puerto Rico beyond San Juan. The plaza itself has a lot of history too and has been the heart of Ponce for generations. You’re surrounded by landmarks like the cathedral and the iconic red and black Parque de Bombas firehouse, which gives the whole area a ton of character. Easy place to walk around for hours and just take everything in.

Plaza Las Delicias in Ponce is a charming and vibrant spot in the heart of the city! The plaza is beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful retreat with its stunning fountains and lush greenery. The architecture surrounding the area, especially the iconic Parque de Bombas and the Ponce Cathedral, is breathtaking and rich in history. It's a fantastic place to experience the local culture, with street artists and musicians often adding to the lively atmosphere. The area is clean, safe, and well-lit, making it perfect for a leisurely evening stroll. A must-visit for anyone in Ponce looking to immerse themselves in the beauty and heritage of the city.

The Central Plaza for the City of Ponce. Each city/town in Puerto Rico has its own plaza and generally there is a Catholic Church, city hall, and business which are nearby. This plaza hold the historic Parque de Bombas, the Church, City Hall and various businesses. As you stroll the plaza they also have a huge fountain and various statues of important iconic people in Puerto Rican history. It is a wonderful community gathering center, often hosting live music and entertainment.

Food here is delicious! We had the veggie burger, fish tacos, pimiento relleno and the tamboo salad - all were delicious but the veggie burger really surprised us! Texture was great and tasted incredible. Great view too. Drinks were also so good and service was the best we’ve experienced in Rincon. Everyone was very friendly and attentive.

The view was the main attraction. Aside from that it was pretty mediocre. Service wasn’t that great and we felt weird vibes from the waitress (maybe the big group overwhelmed her?). They ended up over charging us on a bunch of items but it was my fault for not noticing. For the price the food could’ve been better, went to many restaurants on our trip and this was the least memorable. If you want a good atmosphere come for drinks, the food was whatever and expensive.

I didn’t not stay so I can’t speak about the rooms. I ate at the restaurant with a large party of family. The drinks were good overall. The I didn’t hear any complaints at all. The food was a different story. Several members of our group reported less than enjoyable food experiences. One person said that the hamburger didn’t taste right. I had the Plantain baskets with pulled pork appetizer, and the group shared the fried food platter of appetizers. All the fried food was very greasy. Obviously the oil wasn’t hot enough. The plantain baskets were soaked in oil. The flavor of the pulled pork was very good, but there were bones in the pork. One person in the group had the salad and reported that it was very good. The worst part of all was waking in the wee hours with food poisoning. Go for drinks, but I wouldn’t recommend it for eating because the quality and flavoring were very spotty.

We have been coming to Tamboo almost from its origin. The food has gotten better from excellent to outstanding. You can't beat the view, you are right on the ocean. The service is welcoming and efficient. We have tried almost all the menu. I highly recommend the fish and seafood, although the burgers are excellent as well.

We are staying across the street from Tamboo. On our first night we decided to go for dinner. I was lucky that the pan seared snapper was on special. Served on a bed of the recommended Puerto Rican root mash! It was probably the best fish meal I have ever eaten and I have travelled extensively!! A++++!!! Service was first class too!

Killer spot, not much parking but we were lucky enough to get 1 of the 2 spots. Killer cliff views and a great spot to watch sunset. Waves are too big for the kids to play, but a great spot to explore.

A true hidden gem. Waves are rough and high, but the snorkeling is well worth the trip. I advise entering through the ruins on the north and driving through the dirt roads towards this beach. They'll be plenty of parking that way 4x4 recommened, but not required. If you enter the GOOGLE maps way parking is very limited (5cars) and there's a house on right that charges for parking. NEVER PAY for parking in Puerto Rico beaches, these beaches belong to the people of Puerto Rico! Enjoy !

Didnt get on the water unfortunately, but the view was majestic. Locals said there is a bunch of sea turtles, tropical fish, and so much more. Recommend going here to get in the water and for the beautiful canopies.

Excellent beach for Snorkeling! Limited room for lounging. Gets deep pretty quickly and many rocks. Not ideal for young children, barbecues or laying about. If you want to see the sea life, then come here. No free parking and don't be tempted to park on road, tickets on every car on our return. Private parking available at $5. Just pay it. I was lucky to see plenty of sea life including a turtle. A good few sea urchins so be aware of putting your hands in unsuspecting holes! Personally I thought it was worth the $5 to park. Get some good Snorkeling in and then move on for lunch.

This restaurant is an absolute must-visit whenever we’re in town! They have the best mojitos on this side of the island, and their 30 oz mojitos are not only delicious but also a great value. We make it a point to stop here every time we visit. The food is just as impressive as the drinks. We’ve tried several items on the menu and have never been disappointed—everything is consistently fresh and delicious. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the view. The back of the restaurant overlooks Jobos Beach from atop the cliffs, offering breathtaking ocean and sunset views. Watching the sun go down while enjoying great food and drinks is an experience you won’t forget. Between the amazing mojitos, fantastic food, and unbeatable scenery, this is easily one of our favorite spots on the island. Don’t miss it!

First of all, food took AT LEAST an hour to come to the table. None of the workers speak good English, and got many orders wrong. On top of that, the plates were DIRTY. My fries had random chips and globs of salsa and grease. My salad also had chunks of beef in it and the plate was also dirty. Kitchen also looked very dirty and small, don’t reccomend the service, people were nice but didn’t speak English. Food was very good but I feel like it was unhygienic and gross, also our rice was uncooked!?! Views are pretty tho. ALSO MOTHS WERE AWFUL PLS GET FANS

The view at this restaurant is absolutely phenomenal, and the service matched it with attentive and friendly staff. I ordered the ensalada de pulpo as an appetizer, and it was fresh and flavorful. For our main course, my wife and I shared the Vista al Mar, which was perfectly prepared and generously portioned.My wife also had a passion fruit mojito and said it was one refreshing, well balanced, and full of flavor. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Good food, great drinks, excellent service, and a stunning view. recommended.

The place was empty so we expected the food faster, but I was wrong took 30 min to get an order of surrullitos, I had to drink the mojitos without the appetizer. The piña colada my husband order taste like a strawberry ice cream, it had no alcohol or pinaple or coconut. The mofongo burger he order was horrible, that ítem should be out of the menu. 2 Sunset mojitos beautiful presentation, but it was more like a juice not alcohol at all. I only went 2 days to Puerto Rico, and I really regret picking this restaurant.

Beautiful beach with a wide variety of on-site food options. Good for snorkeling and surfing and wading into the water. Like any beach in PR parking is limited but spots available alongside the road.

Still my favorite spot so far for the variety, the majestic landscape, and the diversity of the water features. 1 side of the rock structures have crashing waves for great photos. The other side has a large calm area that families can enjoy. Great place for special occasion photos too.

Jobos Beach is easily my favorite beach anywhere, and I travel quite a bit. It’s one of those rare places that has everything you could want without feeling overdeveloped. The beach itself is beautiful, with soft, clean sand and incredibly clear water. There’s a long stretch of shallow water that’s perfect for swimming, floating, and families with children, while farther out the waves provide excellent conditions for surfers. One of the things I appreciate most is how convenient everything is. There are several vendors renting umbrellas and chairs, plenty of surf shops, and a great selection of restaurants and beach bars just steps away when you need a drink or a bite to eat. Parking has never been an issue either, with both free street parking and affordable local lots nearby. I’ve visited beaches in many places, but I keep coming back to Jobos. It has a relaxed Puerto Rican vibe, beautiful scenery, and something for everyone. If you’re visiting the northwest coast of Puerto Rico, this is a beach you shouldn’t miss.

I can not stress this enough: KEEP PUERTO RICO BEACHES CLEAN PLEASE. Jobos is absolutely stunning and we want it to stay that way. This is our home away from home. You can find it all here. Restaurants, bars, chair rentals, surf board rentals, beach gift shop. The water is so clean.

Very busy and popular spot.. lots of street parking.. someone told me if you have one wheel on the road when you're parked you'll get a ticket.. lots of ships. Narrow beach area. Sometimes rough . Lots of shops and eateries
