My Puerto Rico Trip Cost

This was a nice place to stay for a couple of days before a cruise. Plenty of restaraunts within walking distance. The beach is within walking distance. Uber was 8 dollars to get to old san juan and 10 from the airport. I was nervous about my choice but would definitely reccomend this hotel. I would stay here again😀

Unfortunately the only good thing about this stay was their location in Santurce. The room was displayed to me in a different way before booking, so be careful. I would recommend another location. Pool was dirty with hair. When we arrived to the hotel, there was hair on the comforter they provide me with. There was low water pressure, then on our second night there, it rained and water poured in from the window seams and it accumulated on the floor and wet our luggage. There’s no dressers, just a small independent closet in the bathroom. Be careful with your phone chargers too. We some how burnt through 2 chargers using the wall outlet. We also noticed two roaches on our bedroom wall, when I contacted front desk she seems shocked that was occurring but then pointed out that it was common thing in PR. They sent a nice young man from front desk with a broom and he told me to use it throughout the night to scare them away. Totally disgusting. We were offered no other room. Then the following day when we tried to do late checkout, there was no one in the front office which caused a bunch of delays to our final day itinerary. Do yourself a favor and try somewhere else, there’s the weekender and the dreaminn like 3 blocks away. Check there first.

It is an absolute lovely Boutique hotel! I was mesmerized when I opened my room at 2am after a late night flight. Everything was great overnight. Then in the morning starting around 8, crowds of people right in front of my room where there were tables & chairs for lounging making loud noise, talking & laughing obnoxiously. And let me repeat, the hotel is suppose to be a quite boutique hotel for relaxing getaways! Yeah, so much relaxing! WHY would they have lounging area right outside a room where another guest will be staying? If you're trying relax or sleep in on your vacation, forget it! Also, I was told the front desk is available from 8am until 2am. At 10:30 in the morning when my daughter went in to take a shower water completely shut down. No water in sink either. I go to tell someone, nobody is there in the front desk & the door locked. There was no employee to be found on the property. Thank God we were checking out anyways since we had a cruise to catch but if I had place booked for more days, I would have needed to take refund & go some pkace else. If a hotel that I paid $207 for cannot even provide basic things like water to shower then it is undeserving place.

I will say, the staff was friendly. If they saw you, they acknowledged you and would answer questions we had. Very polite and welcoming! Parking is limited, I believe they have 5 spots right in front of their building and it's first come first served. I personally like the location because it's walkable to a lot of different establishments. Bars, restaurants, and walgreens. But I would not stay here again. The room had a closet that smelled like mildew as soon as you opened it. To me, the bed was uncomfortable, it was a memory foam if I am not mistaken. Not their fault, but I'm not a fan. One night, neither I or my fiance could sleep because of a banging noise. It was windy and raining heavily that night. The next day, we figured out it was a wooden door that was opening and banging shut. I saw a rock on the ground next to the door and told myself I would personally block the door with the rock if it happened again. My fiance sent a message to them about that, they never responded. He booked this place through Booking.com and that's who he messaged. We asked if we could get our room cleaned as was told they only clean after check out. We asked for fresh towels and they did provide us with clean towels. But we had to take care of our own trash. Which I don't mind doing, but Im not use to that service anywhere I have stayed in the past.

The hotel is very conveniently located, walking distance to the beach, restaurant and mini markets. It has a parking as well & the area is very safe (police is patroling day and night). Also, the whole pin system of how you find the room key makes it very flexible for guests. Interior of the place feels very cozy , with coffee & hot water jugs as you enter the yard. There are 2 smaller pools to chill and many sunbeds & lounges. There are books & suncreans to share. They could have some sunshades too and they could bring in the chair pillows inside/under some cover so they don't get wet from the rain - don't know if they just didn't do it/have it only now around holidays or in general. If you need a receptionist during the day, they speak very little English , but they try to be helpful. Parking is right in front. Beds are comfortable & it was right what we needed - we mostly spent our days outside.

Beautiful beach! Super clean, accessible, and easy parking right across the street. This beach has big (sometimes rough) waves so you can’t swim out but it’s fun for getting in waist deep, boogie boarding, or just enjoying the water from shore.

Not a hugely populated beach and turned out to be a nice place to sit and enjoy the sunset. The sand had drifted out into the road while I was there, but the local maintenance crews were out correcting that to make it safe to drive. Occasional live music and dance classes if the weather's right.

Went for a morning sunrise, sang and danced with no disturbances. The beach was peaceful and absolutely stunning view of the sky and ocean. Sadly there were two large pieces of wood washing up on the beach with the waves.

Nice beach where a lot of the locals go to. It’s clean , lots of parking , small amount of vendors but no one walking. Around trying to always sell you something. Pro tip- BEWARE -the beach has parts with lots of rocks on the shore and has deep drops from the shore line. Potential to get cut if you’re not careful is high.

I love this Suoermax. It is not the cheapest grocery store in San Juan. The produce here is really expensive but you could find some great specials and cheap options. Staff are kind and I never once had an issue using my Canadian credit card here. Store is spacious and well air conditioned. They have self checkout which I really love and the location is great. Highly recommend

They are open 24 hours that is amazing! They have my favorite water. It looks like parking during the day is very hard but so many options in the store! What a great place to buy items needed for your home!!!

I meet Jose and he rang up my goods. Very nice to me and also helped me out to find what I needed. Very good hardworking and very respectful people working here. This is my go too grocery store even if I have to drive further.

All the essentials, etc etc etc! They have a whole cafeteria inside and a kiosk that has smoothies 😋 They also have a nice selection of box lunches which came in handy when we stopped by for some goodies for our day at the beach. I highly recommend

The view was definitely exceptional, however, the waiting time for food and even drinks were very long. We were a group of 3 on a Wednesday morning and the restaurant was not busy, in fact it was just the 3 of us in the restaurant. I had previously read on other reviews that the wait time could be long but I’d expect the service being slow IF they had been busy. We decided to order mimosas and coffee. The mimosas sat on the bar counter for a while and when it arrived to our table, the drinks were warm. The food was okay, we ordered 2 steak and eggs, fish tacos and a waffle. The food was not great for the price that you pay for… I guess if you are just looking for a pretty view then this is your spot to go but I’d skip the food.

Total honesty…The atmosphere and views are insane. The shrimp and fish tacos were delish but over priced for just two tacos on a plate. Service is slow but it’s island time. Servers were very friendly. I will be back.

Awesome little spot a true hidden gem..service was meh..but the view is awesome..great atmosphere..little pricey like 10 dollar Heinekens..but all good..pay for the view. A must when your down here.

The cutest place with the most incredible view! I wanted a late lunch/early dinner before meeting up with the rest of my group traveling in, and Uvva did not disappoint. Service was quick and kind. Food was yummy! Wine was perfect. And the view… it’s why I came. Relaxing, beautiful. 10/10

We had a great time at UVVA. The staff was busy when we arrived so we had to wait for a while before ournorder was taken but Karina, the bartender and waitress was awesome. Friendly and professional., we highly recommend.

We had just landed in Puerto Rico and stopped here because it was the closest breakfast spot—and what a wonderful surprise! We will absolutely be coming back. The food was incredible. I had the French toast with fresh fruit, and my husband ordered the egg and cheese sandwich. Everything was delicious, fresh, and made with care. From the very first bite, we knew we had found a special place. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the service. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and patient while helping us decide what to order. The owner even brought our food outside himself with a big smile, made sure we had everything we needed, and came back to check on us throughout our meal. It’s rare to find a place that combines amazing food with such genuine hospitality. This was the perfect way to start our Puerto Rico trip, and we can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast and exceptional service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Come on in if you want a dose of the worst customer service possible. I order an Americano and get a cappuccino instead. I just let the girl behind the bar know and she brushed it off with an attitude like she doesn’t give a damn. I said I’ll drink it anyway so I don’t have to deal with her anymore. The lousiest attitude! Oh, you want to know the price of an Americano? $7.49.

The architecture is beautiful, the cobble streets, all the shops are something to see. And the night life is full and vibrant. The clubs seem to go on forever. You will definitely love it.

This is a small street in Old San Juan,Puerto Rico. The San Sebastián Street Festival is celebrated on this street. This year, it will take place from Thursday, January 15th to Sunday, January 18th, 2026. This is the 56th edition. The festival began in 1954 as a religious and community event, spearheaded by Father Juan Manuel Madrazo, parish priest of San José Church, to raise funds for restoration work. Then it was revived in the 1970s by Rafaela Valladares and Ricardo Alegría. In the 1970s, it transformed into a grand cultural celebration with giant papier-mâché figures, music, and dances, incorporating Puerto Rican traditions.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to learn about the history of Puerto Rico, make sure you check out this location. For just $10 a person, access is granted to explore the grounds of this castle and during the time I went, your ticket was good for two days. When visiting, I would highly suggest wearing sneakers, and bringing water when touring. They do have a small gift shop on location that you can also purchase small items. Due to the beauty of this castle, it is also a great opportunity to grab some photos. The views are breathtaking and worth the visit. I would highly recommend.

El Morro is a sight to see. I went around 10:15 with two kids, age 4 and 6. The wait was just a few minutes. We stayed about 2 hours. We did a lot of walking. The kids had a shorter attention span, just wanted to see the things and explore, up and down the stairs. Beautiful views. I would advise to bring your own cold water (they do sell around 4 bucks a bottle) and umbrella or hand fan if you have. The video they showed in the casemates area was very informative and eye opening, as well as a needed break after up and down stairs. Also, there's a spot before you go downstairs with bars to look out, amazing breeze for a cool down. The day we went was slightly cloudy. The sun was hot when it came out. The few clouds were appreciated when it covered the sun. When we left around noon, the line was long. Thank goodness we came when we did. When you leave treat yourself to helado (icee) or piragua/snowcone when you get off the property. Muy deliciouso.

Price $10 and you can use the ticket at the other fort. The walk is about 30 minutes to get to the other fort. The cemetery is free to walk down to. The closest parking lot Ballaja was the 1st choice at FV9J+485, Calle Morovis, San Juan, 00901, Puerto Rico for $10.but is was full on a Wednesday at 1030 am we ee parked at the Esquire Garage which was $37. The walk from there was about 20 minutes. We went in July and we sweat so so much. They had water amd Gatorade in the park we got one of each fpr $8.

Such an amazing experience visiting this place. All the history behind it was phenomenal to learn. It makes you think about all the injustices the puerto rican people have been going through with such resilience. I do recommend going as they open or later in the afternoon before they close because walking there with no shade is no joke. Lol. Make sure to wear a hat and shades. The entrance fee was resonable for all the things you get to see. It should be around 2-3 hours depending on if you read all the signs with the history or just walk through. 100% would recommend! Beautiful place with a lot of history! Visiting Castillo San Felipe del Morro was one of the highlights of our trip to Puerto Rico. The fort is incredibly well preserved, and the history is fascinating. The views of the Atlantic Ocean and Old San Juan are absolutely breathtaking, especially from the top of the fortress. There is plenty to explore, so wear comfortable shoes and plan to spend a couple of hours walking through the tunnels, lookout points, and historic rooms. The grounds are beautiful, and it’s easy to imagine what life was like centuries ago. Whether you’re interested in history, photography, or just looking for an unforgettable view, El Morro is definitely worth visiting. I would highly recommend adding it to your Puerto Rico itinerary!

The museum is wonderful. Entry fee is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for seniors >65. Kids and students are a discounted fee but I didn't take note. The exhibits are very enlightening and heartbreaking all in one. They are all on the 2nd Floor, accessible via an elevator at the main entrance near the guard booth, or the stairs. You'll just love your imagination as you see the huge courtyard.

We had s great time looking at different art processes. Included a lot of art from all over including South America, North America and Central America. It was lovely to setting the work of Puerto Rican artists!

I loved my time here. Spent a few hours, longer than I thought I would. I enjoyed learning loads about the Taino people; the beautiful sculptures of different native tribes across the Antilles and Caribbean; the native artwork of Rafael Trelles in one room; and the African artwork and sculptures that tied in well to the sad history of slavery. Nearly everything has English translations, save for a section unfortunately that just has English summaries of the numerous placards (concerning PR independence and US takeover 🤦🏽‍♀️). I was not a fan of the modern art sections. Well ACed which felt amazing after walking around in the heat outside.

An incredible journey through art of the Americas. If you are in San Juan, it's worth the visit, which will take anywhere from 45 min to 1.5 hours, depending on your interest level. Even the gift shop is unique and charming.

Great museum to visit while in old town. Eight exhibition halls covering many topics on history (aboriginals, African slavery, colonisation etc.), culture, and modern arts in the region. Most exhibits have English translation. Can easily spent two hours. Better call ahead to make sure the museum is open before heading over. There is a lunch break. Keep your receipt for re-entry.

Quality pizza and appetizer selection! If you looking for some variety from the Puerto Rican cuisine, give this place a shot. This is not your fast food style pizza, but the food comes out at a decent pace. The cheese and sauce wasn't overdone. The crust was perfectly crispy and not burned. Service was also great and we didn't have a wait when we came in for lunch. You do have to go up a flight of stairs to get to the seeting area.

Drinks are cheap and really tasty. I got the dulcinea (I believe that was it) and it was gone before the food even came it was that good. We got the el percado and genoviva (I think that was the name) and the bread / crust was THE BEST I’ve ever had one a pizza. The toppings themselves were decent, the genoviva was a bit on the saltier side with not much other flavors and the percado was a bit dry. But not bad at all definitely worth the price. Again the bread / crust itself is probably worth it 😆 Staff was super nice once we were inside! I will say though that we had asked in person to be put on the waitlist and were told they would call us in 20-30 minutes. After 40 minutes of no call we had to go back to the door and ask before we were actively seated. To be fair they seemed to be very packed that day so I understand the chaos but still a little frustrating feeling like our time wasn’t considered (sorry if this sounds pretentious)

Pure Perfection at Pirillo! Pirillo is an absolute must-visit in Puerto Rico! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was fantastic, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was our waitress, Mia. She was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and provided top-tier service that made us feel so welcome. The food, of course, completely stole the show: The Pizza (Beef & Sweet Plantains): A total masterpiece. The combination of savory beef and sweet plantains is a flavor profile you didn't know you needed until you try it. Gnocchi with Pink Sauce: Incredibly pillow-soft and tossed in a rich, perfectly balanced pink sauce. Pure comfort food. The Quatro Leches: I always order this when I visit, and it never disappoints. It is absolutely divine—the perfect, sweet finale to an incredible meal. If you are looking for phenomenal Italian-Puerto Rican fusion and stellar service, ask for Mia and get ready for an amazing dinner. We will definitely be back!

Its a hidden gem in old San Juan! Dont get misled by the stairway entrance, the restaurant will surely surprise you! The rustic vibe, great service and amazing food. We ordered personal Mucho Mushroom Pizza which was enough to serve 2 and drinks were great! Must try if you’re in this area.

Such a beautiful spot. I spent a few hours hiking and honestly could've stayed even longer. Wear good shoes because some of the trails can get pretty slippery, and try to get there early before it gets too crowded.

My family and I had a great time here. We explored different trails and made it to the Britton tower. We didn't get to the big waterfall but we enjoyed the small one. We ate some good food and had some drinks. The vibe was nice. Definitely the place to check out while in Puerto Rico.

Amazing! Beautiful rainforest. We'll maintained and accessible. Staff at the visitor center were friendly and the facility was clean, informative, and offered great information. Highly recommend visiting. There are frequent locations to pull off and see various sites. Was easy to navigate for first time visitors but roads are narrow, so use caution when driving.

What an absolutely beautiful place! We really enjoyed the visitors center and then the drive up through the rainforest! This is a must do, especially if you love nature, hiking, waterfalls,and seeing breathtaking views!

So many things to do! So beautiful. Highly recommend. Multiple waterfalls that are must see. No entry fee. Parking can be a little tricky so recommend to get there early. Britton hike was a little steep going up but worth it.

Absolutely beautiful!! The waterfalls, rainbows, animals and nature. Such a beautiful place to visit. If you decide to go, wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking. They also have tours available if you chose not to walk. Either way it is a gorgeous experience!

I give them more like a 4 1/2 star rating. We only ordered a few fried fritters to go. What I did like about this location was some of the fritters are cooked at that moment. That does mean waiting for some time to pass. What I didn't l enjoy about this kiosko was, the wait time can feel longer then what it really is.

If you wants some delicious alcapurias, bacalaitos and ice cold beers...and let's not forget the amazing piña colada!! Plus outback you have the beach and a guy with a horse that you give a tip to and you can ride the horse.

We ordered combo pincho/ kabobs -chicken, pork and shrimp to share. Order took forever to arrive and pricey. All the food was dry, like it had sat out overnight , no flavor to arroz con gandules, tostones were dry , shrimp were not cleaned properly, no one came to table to offer any assistance or service. No ventilation at all- very unpleasant in heat. Don’t waste your time or money here. Go to La Parrilla - kiosks #2, fabulous food and service!!!!

We came across this place while strolling through the long strip of kiosks and I’m glad we stopped here. I ordered some buffalo wings along with a pina colada. Both things were good and the prices were decent too. I will definitely have to try this spot out again while in town visiting.

This was my first time to PR and first exposure to the food of the island. This kiosk/restaurant was excellent! I had chicken, rice, and fried plantain. It was amazing! I wanted to go back, but our travel plans didn't allow. I highly recommend!

Gorgeous!!! We had a wonderful time at this beach. We stayed in Fajardo and enjoyed the quick drive to Luquillo. Lots to see here in the sand. We found fish and some beautiful flowers.

He booked this place through Booking.com and that's who he messaged. We asked if we could get our room cleaned as was told they only clean after check out. We asked for fresh towels and they did provide us with clean towels. But we had to take care of our own trash. Which I don't mind doing, but Im not use to that service anywhere I have stayed in the past.

The hotel is very conveniently located, walking distance to the beach, restaurant and mini markets. It has a parking as well & the area is very safe (police is patroling day and night). Also, the whole pin system of how you find the room key makes it very flexible for guests. Interior of the place feels very cozy , with coffee & hot water jugs as you enter the yard. There are 2 smaller pools to chill and many sunbeds & lounges. There are books & suncreans to share. They could have some sunshades too and they could bring in the chair pillows inside/under some cover so they don't get wet from the rain - don't know if they just didn't do it/have it only now around holidays or in general. If you need a receptionist during the day, they speak very little English , but they try to be helpful. Parking is right in front. Beds are comfortable & it was right what we needed - we mostly spent our days outside.

This was a nice place to stay for a couple of days before a cruise. Plenty of restaraunts within walking distance. The beach is within walking distance. Uber was 8 dollars to get to old san juan and 10 from the airport. I was nervous about my choice but would definitely reccomend this hotel. I would stay here again😀

Unfortunately the only good thing about this stay was their location in Santurce. The room was displayed to me in a different way before booking, so be careful. I would recommend another location. Pool was dirty with hair. When we arrived to the hotel, there was hair on the comforter they provide me with. There was low water pressure, then on our second night there, it rained and water poured in from the window seams and it accumulated on the floor and wet our luggage. There’s no dressers, just a small independent closet in the bathroom. Be careful with your phone chargers too. We some how burnt through 2 chargers using the wall outlet. We also noticed two roaches on our bedroom wall, when I contacted front desk she seems shocked that was occurring but then pointed out that it was common thing in PR. They sent a nice young man from front desk with a broom and he told me to use it throughout the night to scare them away. Totally disgusting. We were offered no other room. Then the following day when we tried to do late checkout, there was no one in the front office which caused a bunch of delays to our final day itinerary. Do yourself a favor and try somewhere else, there’s the weekender and the dreaminn like 3 blocks away. Check there first.

It is an absolute lovely Boutique hotel! I was mesmerized when I opened my room at 2am after a late night flight. Everything was great overnight. Then in the morning starting around 8, crowds of people right in front of my room where there were tables & chairs for lounging making loud noise, talking & laughing obnoxiously. And let me repeat, the hotel is suppose to be a quite boutique hotel for relaxing getaways! Yeah, so much relaxing! WHY would they have lounging area right outside a room where another guest will be staying? If you're trying relax or sleep in on your vacation, forget it! Also, I was told the front desk is available from 8am until 2am. At 10:30 in the morning when my daughter went in to take a shower water completely shut down. No water in sink either. I go to tell someone, nobody is there in the front desk & the door locked. There was no employee to be found on the property. Thank God we were checking out anyways since we had a cruise to catch but if I had place booked for more days, I would have needed to take refund & go some pkace else. If a hotel that I paid $207 for cannot even provide basic things like water to shower then it is undeserving place.

I will say, the staff was friendly. If they saw you, they acknowledged you and would answer questions we had. Very polite and welcoming! Parking is limited, I believe they have 5 spots right in front of their building and it's first come first served. I personally like the location because it's walkable to a lot of different establishments. Bars, restaurants, and walgreens. But I would not stay here again. The room had a closet that smelled like mildew as soon as you opened it. To me, the bed was uncomfortable, it was a memory foam if I am not mistaken. Not their fault, but I'm not a fan. One night, neither I or my fiance could sleep because of a banging noise. It was windy and raining heavily that night. The next day, we figured out it was a wooden door that was opening and banging shut. I saw a rock on the ground next to the door and told myself I would personally block the door with the rock if it happened again. My fiance sent a message to them about that, they never responded. The Ferry is kind of remote, so planning ahead for food and water is wise! The boats run on a fairly regular schedule. We did not do any research beforehand and had to wait about an hour for the destination we chose. Loading was easy and well organized. There are tents for shade. There was no outside space open at the time of our trip on the ferry which was a little disappointing. You can still see through windows but it didn’t hit the same as wind in your face! Overall though - no complaints, well managed, and friendly people.

I arrived 2 hours before departure as I could not purchase tickets online and read so many bad comments about the in person purchase process. I could have arrived an hour before and still make everything on time. The ticket purchase took 5 min and then I had to park my car in the parking lot which is 10 min walk away. Car parking costs 15$ per day and has to be paid on exit at the machine. The ferry terminal also has a cafeteria with a lot of food and drink options to choose from at good rates. Hard working staff. Well I must say this is not what we saw on tiktok. If you are planning a trip to LA culebra, now is not the time. The ferry area part was ok the people are friendly however the ride was rough. The wait times were ok we got tickets on site must be an hour before departure. Parking is close about a 5 minute walk. Donot eat or drink if you easily get motion sickness the majority of the people on the ferry were very sick. The ferry we took had cars for cargo I felt like that makes the ferry jump higher. On the way back we took the ferry with no car cargo and felt a little better. The island is very bad hardly anything open it seemed abandoned i don't understand where all the people go to. We rented a golf cart drove around to several beaches they were mainly empty or closed probably cause of the time of year. Overall to us was an experience but the views were not great at all. PLEASE take motion sickness meds to help you ride smoother.

The issue was not the number of customers, it was the lack of urgency and professionalism behind the counter. The two women working appeared to be laughing, talking, and socializing instead of focusing on getting people through the line quickly. When customers are trying to catch a ferry, that kind of behavior is unacceptable. There is no reason a basic $4–$8 ticketing process should be this slow, outdated, and poorly managed. This entire system needs to be modernized immediately. Customers should be able to purchase tickets online or use self-service kiosks instead of being forced to wait in a line that does not move. Management needs to seriously reevaluate the staffing and operations at this location. If employees cannot process simple ticket sales quickly and professionally, then the process needs to be automated and replaced with a faster, more reliable system. Based on this experience, I would never recommend this ferry service to anyone. The lack of urgency, poor customer service, and outdated ticketing process made this one of the worst travel experiences I’ve had.

I’ve witnessed a family with their kids being discriminated against from two male workers, one I found the name, Lt. Garcia. These two males were like on a power trip, arguing with the females and a family. The supervisor and other crew members didn’t care and most likely won’t do anything. They were most definitely on time for their boarding, and these temp male workers, including Lt. Garcia intentionally closed the gates early, unable to board thus missing their ferry’s. We’ve also witnessed other passengers boarding either late or after the time, which was proof of their discrimination. This is very concerning for new passengers especially outsiders. Just be careful interacting with these folks. It’s a security guy with painted nails with a name badge that says Garcia.

We took the ferry in Puerto Rico during our trip to visit the beautiful islands, and it was a great experience overall. The ride was smooth, scenic, and gave us incredible views of the ocean along the way. Boarding was organized, and the staff was helpful throughout the process. The ferry was an affordable and convenient way to travel between the islands, making our adventure even more memorable. We recommend arriving early to allow plenty of time for check-in and boarding. Watching the crystal-clear waters and enjoying the sea breeze during the trip was one of the highlights of our vacation. If you’re visiting Puerto Rico and planning a trip to Vieques or Culebra, taking the ferry is definitely an experience worth trying!

Not fun at the moment, full of sargassum and very smelly beach. Go to tamarindo beach is actually better and water is calmer will need water shoes for rocks or also go to datiles beach also very calm water.

Flamenco Beach is absolutely worth the trip from the Puerto Rico mainland. Just be prepared, the ferry ride can be rough, especially if the seas are choppy. Once you arrive in Culebra, it’s easy to grab a taxi to the beach for about $5 per person. The beach itself is stunning, with a wide crescent-shaped bay, incredibly soft white sand, and crystal-clear turquoise water. If you enjoy snorkeling, be sure to bring your gear. There’s a reef just offshore that’s well worth exploring. Even though it’s a popular destination, we found a quiet spot beneath some palm trees where we could relax and enjoy a little privacy. The beach also has chair and umbrella rentals, along with several food kiosks offering plenty of options for snacks, drinks, and lunch throughout the day. Flamenco Beach lives up to its reputation as one of the Caribbean’s best beaches. Whether you want to swim, snorkel, or simply relax with an incredible view, it’s a place you won’t soon forget.

Beautiful Beach. They have shops for food & drinks. A rental location for chairs & umbrelas $15 & kids sand toys $5. They do have restrooms & showers outdoor. Sand was white & Beautiful beach, very similar to Playa Buye cabo rojo incase you dont want to take the trip out to Culebra. I got tickets a day before, to head to culebra. Taxis are right outside after every ferry $5/person. We chose not to rent car and i think it was very option to stay in a budget. We stayed downtown for 2 nights which i highly recommend. Is very tiring to go n come back in a ferry for total of 2.5-3hrs. So its better to spend the night. Airbnb i recommend is the owner of the breakfast place called cafe y pan. 3mins from ferry. Do recommend to go early to beach. After 5pm bigger waves and 1 of the days we went couldnt get in water bc a lot of water currents.

One of greatest beaches in the world for a reason. The water is some of the bluest water I’ve seen in my life. Take a taxi since it’s not walkable from the port/airport. The locals are all very nice.

This is a beach like no other located near the Old Town of San Juan. Once you cross from Condado, the next part is El Escambron. There are a lot of people (tourists) who are snorkeling the turquoise waters. The you see a no man island right of the beach that provides some protection from the big waves. On one side of the beach there is an abandoned series of buildings and it’s taken over by stay cats and chickens or even iguanas. It’s almost like a small glimpse of paradise. Many claim that this is the best overall beach in San Juan and overall that’s true because of the coral reef. There is a protective layer of coral reef that keeps the turquoise waters calm and safe for swimming, snorkeling and typically there are sea turtles and many other marine life like tropical fish, crabs and you name it. There are public facilities like restrooms and showers. Math street vendors or vendors of the beach. All this action minutes from Old San Juan.

Stunning beaches. They have multiple bathrooms and lifeguards on duty There are some small food vendors. But no major restaurants. Parking is under $7 for 24 hours. There are restaurants within walking distance Beautiful, calm beach. With a reef barrier to protect all from rip Current. Definitely safe for small children still, it’s water. Parents need to be alert.

Love the flag planted on the little island across the beach. Beautiful views of the el capitolio de puerto rico building, del morro, castillo san cristobal. All very nice =]

Balneario El Escambrón was perfect. You have the option to go snorkeling, either through a tour company or on your own if you have your own equipment. The water is incredibly calm, since it’s a protected area, which makes it a very safe and family-friendly spot especially for kids. They have bathrooms on-site and plenty of trees that provide great shade, making it comfortable to spend a few hours there. The water is super clear and beautiful. The only downside is that there aren’t many food options available right at the beach. However, you can easily order Uber Eats or take a short 10-minute walk to nearby coffee shops or food trucks. Other than that, it’s an amazing place. I absolutely loved it, highly recommend it, and will definitely be back!

Plenty of parking…been here multiple times but wanted to review for when I came here on a busy weekend for a 5k. I was pretty impressed with the traffic and ease of parking for the 5k, was starting it before because of convention going on plus it was a Saturday evening. Was able to get good parking prior to start of 5k (no road closures, easy flow of traffic). Music is always on point, plenty of food places, the only thing that sucks is the lack of restrooms (when it’s packed, it’s packed). Other than that, just check the calendar or Facebook before you head out to see if there are events/concerts/conventions.

This place is a nice place to walk around if your hungry. The vibe is great. There is music blasting. The screens are epic but there was nothing but commercials that night. I wish there was more to do than just eat. There are super long lines for some of the places. We had drinks at an outside bar. There is a movie theater but that’s it. But it was worth the visit. Don’t know if I would come back.

What a fun place! There are so many activities to enjoy here, from the arcade and zip lining to wall climbing and more. The food selection is delicious and offers a great mix of both American and Spanish cuisine. The entertainment setup is impressive, with a large projector screen accompanied by multiple complementary screens above and along the outside columns in the main area. It’s really neat watching the visuals flow across all of them. The sound system is excellent too, with plenty of bass that adds to the atmosphere. There’s also a sweet treat spot featuring unique churros and delicious, creamy ice cream. Overall, it’s a great place to hang out, and it looks especially beautiful at night with all the glowing hues and vibrant lights.

Awesome place kind of like nyc but not really. Good food options around especially the la burgeuisa. Its a must try. You can sit here and enjoy the ads, music and watch videos/ads on the displays. Kid friendly safe environment.

One of my least favorite airports. The restaurants are a mix of American fast food: dominoes, popeyes; international fare: ramen, Spanish; and gas station food. And it's so expensive. Yes airports are expensive, but it's expensive and unsatisfying. Then the duty free is a waste of time. You can get the same items on the island and just pack it in your bag and save a bunch of money. And the security is super relaxed. I have a subdermal device that always get me pat down. I went through, they asked if I had a necklace, I said yes, and they cleared me. The airport isn't bad, it's just not good and spending time there isn't fun.

Great airport. Best advice be there 2 to 3hr early just to be on the safe side. Just please wary of one of elevators to the terminals it will get stuck especially trying to get out. Follow these steps when at the airport have your bags go threw scanner so they can yellow tag it, then go to the counter and have your bag checked in after that you have to get in line for TSA, it can be really quick so just be patient and you shall make it to your flight.

I was flying out of Terminal A at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, and honestly the experience getting in was rough. With everything going on around the government shutdown, TSA was extremely slow—long lines and pretty chaotic just to get through the initial checkpoint. Definitely give yourself extra time. The airport itself feels older and a bit worn down. It could really use a refresh. That said, once you’re inside, there are actually a lot of solid food options for breakfast and lunch, plus some good shopping and local snacks. On the bright side, flights seem to run pretty smoothly and leave on time, which helps make up for the hassle getting in. Not my favorite airport, but it gets the job done for the area.

Arriving at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport was a good experience. The airport was clean, organized, and easy to get around. Signs for baggage claim and transportation were clear. My luggage came out quickly, and the whole process was smooth from landing to exit. A nice first impression of Puerto Rico!!
