If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to learn about the history of Puerto Rico, make sure you check out this location. For just $10 a person, access is granted to explore the grounds of this castle and during the time I went, your ticket was good for two days. When visiting, I would highly suggest wearing sneakers, and bringing water when touring. They do have a small gift shop on location that you can also purchase small items. Due to the beauty of this castle, it is also a great opportunity to grab some photos. The views are breathtaking and worth the visit. I would highly recommend.

Such an amazing experience visiting this place. All the history behind it was phenomenal to learn. It makes you think about all the injustices the puerto rican people have been going through with such resilience. I do recommend going as they open or later in the afternoon before they close because walking there with no shade is no joke. Lol. Make sure to wear a hat and shades. The entrance fee was resonable for all the things you get to see. It should be around 2-3 hours depending on if you read all the signs with the history or just walk through. 100% would recommend! We had to park in old San Juan and it was a long walk in the heat so make sure you wear your walking shoes and breathable clothes otherwise you'll just spend your time trying to stop the sweat. Plenty of cool places to stop while making your way up to the castle. Hope yall enjoy the history!

This 16th century, Spanish Fort is amazing. It has breathtaking views everywhere you turn, many ramparts, tunnels, and many levels. It’s very well maintained and clean. Give yourself at least two, maybe three hours to explore this beautiful Fort, the surrounding lawns and walkways and pathways. There’s lots to see in the fort and outside the fort. If you walk and approach across the huge front lawn to the main gate, you can go back to town along the sea walk where you will spot large iguanas and semi wild cats. This is a must see if you’re in old San Juan, you can’t miss it.

A place where you can feed pigeons, get a beautiful view of part of the bay of San Juan and also get a coffee break. In the main entrance there is a kiosk where you can buy pigeon food for $3.00 and hang around feeding the pigeons while they walk or fly all around you. 😆 If you keep walking straight to the end, you will find a coffee shop with other alternatives things to drink and snack. And at the very end of it all there is a baby/kids playground. There are seating areas around the park to enjoy the moment.

Parque de las Palomas in Old San Juan offers an unforgettable, quirky, and highly interactive experience. Nestled against the historic 18th-century defensive city walls, this oceanfront plaza is famous for its hundreds of incredibly tame pigeons that will happily swarm your hands, arms, and head the moment you offer them food. For just a couple of dollars, you can purchase a small bag of seeds from the local on-site vendors. If you extend your arms and stand still, you will quickly find yourself completely covered in birds, making it a fantastic photo opportunity for brave adults and a magical tradition for children visiting the area. Beyond the bird feeding, the park boasts some of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the capital. The observation deck overlooks the sparkling Bahía de San Juan, the lush surrounding mountains, and the historic La Princesa jail. It is the perfect place to catch a refreshing ocean breeze and watch the harbor traffic, including massive cruise ships, glide by. At the far end of the property, you can visit the cozy Café del Niño, the only ocean-view cafe in Old San Juan, offering cold drinks, snacks, and a small shaded play area. While the close encounters with birds might not be for the squeamish or those with bird phobias, and you will definitely want to wash your hands afterward, it remains a beloved and highly entertaining stop. Conveniently located right next to the historic Capilla del Cristo at the end of Cristo Street, it is an easy and fun diversion to add to your walking itinerary.

Fun place to go visit with children. Entrance is free of charge. You can feed the pigeons for $2 each bag of food. There is a play area for little children towards the end of the park. Definitely fun and a must visit.

After walking around del Morro we decided to walk downtown to look at some of the local shops and get a better feel for Old San Juan. We stumbled across the Parque de las Palomas, and it ended up being a really cool experience. The part is absolutely FULL of pigeons. Some of them are extremely unique, and they are everywhere. Roosting in the trees, in cubbies on the walls, even just laying down on the ground. What is even more amazing is how clean this area is. You would expect there to be bird poop everywhere, but it was super clean when we were there. There is plenty of places to stand or sit, and its a gorgeous area with great views of the bay behind it. Very cool place to check out while in Old San Juan!

The birthplace of the Pina Colada. It opens up at 11am. Get there earlier to get in line. They do not offer reservations. They have a line for sitting/eating, and a line for the walk up bar where you can get a Pina Colada and leave. Food was "ok". The seafood was fresh. I loved the coconut 🥥 Calamari, but the dipping sauce was gross. They needed a sauce that was spicy, to offset the coconut sweetness. Pina Colada was EXCELLENT According to my friends. I found it way too sweet. I think that's because I am so used to the fake stuff. Washrooms are nasty, and small. Maybe make boys and girls washrooms unisex? The servers were super kind.

This is the birthplace of the Pina Colada. They were a delicious treat on a hot evening $10 each. Non alcohol versions available. The charming decor of old San Juan makes this place great for photo ops. Dinner was good. Ordered 2 different appetizer samplers. It was good to be able to try a variety of item, everything on both samplers was deep fried.

We ordered the calamari, Puerto Rican delights, sancocho for soup of the day and mofongo. Everything was perfect and of course we didn’t leave without trying their Pina Colada which is what they’re know for. I don’t like Pina Coladas but I will never leave Puerto Rico again without having theirs. Our server, Isaiah, was on point with every recommendation he made. Highly recommend.

I'm not sure what the hype was about this place, We were told about the Pina Colada and how great everything is. To be honest this place was unfortunately not up to any of the hype, the service was not the best, my wife ordered the Snapper which was good, but the plantain was just awful. I went with the ribeye which wasn't that good along with the plantain which was just worse. We ordered Pina Coladas which were very mid not much in the form of alcohol. We hear PR rum is great but this wasn't it. We even gave the benefit of the doubt and tried another round and it was a little better but not by much. The atmosphere here is nice as it's located in what I guess is Old San Juan, but unfortunately we will not come here again or even recommend anyone else to come here. I'm sure there are plenty of other places in this area that are better.

We visited the tower during our visit to El yunque national forest. The access to rainforest opened around 8am. We captured early sunlight over the forest it looked so beautiful. The climb up to the tower is short and gives a good view of the forest.

We stopped at the tower after a rainy hike in El Yunque to another tower. The inside was a little wet due to rain and mud on people, but the top was beautiful! There were a lot of steps to climb, but it was worth it. Even in the fog, there was a view of so much lush greenery and mountains, and the cool breeze felt great. There is a parking lot right next to the tower, so easy access!

A must do! Views are unattainable unless you do the climb. Easy, wide steps, and the reward Is Amazing. It's free, and we'll worth the short climb. As you go up, there are windows at every level. Each perspective is wonderous. Highly recommend. On bottom Floor, there is a very tiny shop to buy water, shirts and small souvenirs. You can also find a hand washing station in the parking lot, where you foot pump your water! Highly recommend.

03/30/2026 Beautiful tower and amazing views all around. It can ger crazy with the traffic and tourist but overall its a great site too see. So much life of green, can't wait to visit again 💚💚💚💚💚

This hike is the definition of getting the best bang for your buck! There is a short climb, but it shouldn’t take you more than 10 mins. My 3 year old was able to do it! At the end you are rewarded with a beautiful natural pool at the bottom of the waterfall. You are also able to continue climbing to the top, but it was too steep for my daughter so we just hung out in the pool which was still spectacular! Highly recommend for families with young children who want to experience the beauty of El Yunque without an arduous trek.

03/30/2026 An amazing site to see especially the two waterfalls. First parking is extremely tight and rare, now the hike can be extremely difficult if its wet & muddy. Please tred carefully I was afraid for those with kids especially with INFANTS, the trail going upward can be tricky just be careful. When reaching the waterfalls the sight of them is BREATHTAKING AND REFRESHING if you decide to take a dip in, especially the bigger fall going under when all the water hits you is so relaxing. Just be CAREFUL and enjoy yourselves.

The road was closed, so we couldn’t reach the famous Cascada La Mina 😢 Instead, we settled for another swimming spot nearby. Upstream, the waterfall current is strong and the water is icy cold ❄️🌊 You’ll have to trek through a muddy trail first 🥾 — but honestly? Totally worth the adventure!

Great place to go with family and kids and if you want a bit chalange just find the side trail next to the waterfall and you will find an amazing hiding spot! The side trail doesn't fit for kids.

We were disappointed when our tour was not able to be rescheduled. But we're surprised when we were able to go on our own tour to this place. We enjoyed the waterfalls and were very happy to see that some of the other tour participants were disappointed that the guide did not provide what they said they would. On anothwr point, do not use viator for any tours. They are worthless as a tour provider. They play a middleman role with no real power to hold tour companies accountable for not providing services their website boasts.

I give them more like a 4 1/2 star rating. We only ordered a few fried fritters to go. What I did like about this location was some of the fritters are cooked at that moment. That does mean waiting for some time to pass. What I didn't l enjoy about this kiosko was, the wait time can feel longer then what it really is.

If you wants some delicious alcapurias, bacalaitos and ice cold beers...and let's not forget the amazing piña colada!! Plus outback you have the beach and a guy with a horse that you give a tip to and you can ride the horse.

This was my first time to PR and first exposure to the food of the island. This kiosk/restaurant was excellent! I had chicken, rice, and fried plantain. It was amazing! I wanted to go back, but our travel plans didn't allow. I highly recommend!

We ordered combo pincho/ kabobs -chicken, pork and shrimp to share. Order took forever to arrive and pricey. All the food was dry, like it had sat out overnight , no flavor to arroz con gandules, tostones were dry , shrimp were not cleaned properly, no one came to table to offer any assistance or service. No ventilation at all- very unpleasant in heat. Don’t waste your time or money here. Go to La Parrilla - kiosks #2, fabulous food and service!!!!

We came across this place while strolling through the long strip of kiosks and I’m glad we stopped here. I ordered some buffalo wings along with a pina colada. Both things were good and the prices were decent too. I will definitely have to try this spot out again while in town visiting.

We loved this beach and spent 6 hours here and didn’t want to leave. Clean, spacious, shade. Can rent chairs and umbrellas. A lot of food available to purchase. Water calm and clear. Huge parking lot for $4. Able to drive mobility scooter right to sand/palm tree area without difficulty.

This is a great beach to visit. The water is clear. There are umbrella and chair rentals available as well as various kiosks for food and adult beverages. They will even bring you your food if you call to order. The cost to enter the beach is $4, credit card only. You will unfortunately see some trash in the sand and at times in the water but overall it is a great beach. We visited twice while in PR.

This is a great balneareo. It has many food vendors. The beach was clean and all the other people were enjoying the beach aswell there were not obnoxious people around. The water is crystal clear. The price to go in was $4.00 there are ample of parking. They dont rent umbrella, nor chairs. The open from 8am to 6pm.

One of the best and most family-friendly beaches in Puerto Rico! The sand is soft, the water is calm and perfect for swimming, and the facilities are excellent. The bathrooms are super clean, and the area is well-maintained with lifeguards, showers, and shaded spots to relax. Parking is easy, and the beach is just steps away from the famous Luquillo Kiosks, where you can enjoy amazing local food. A must-visit beach! 🌴☀️🌊

Full disclosure, these pictures are at the South end of the beach which is before the paid parking area, and this not in the middle of the cove where the water is warmer and calmer. However, even with the free-parking area, you can still get an excellent beach day and enjoy the water. I had a seat floatation device which safely kept me close to the shore. This section was not as crowded as the paid section and as you can see from the pictures, there is a beautiful ocean view. The sand is light brown and clean. This area is not polluted and popular with locals. The paid section dos have nicer sand and warmer water but is much more crowded.

We had a great stay in this beautiful home. The views were absolutely amazing, and the home is very clean and comfy. It's super close to Seven Seas Beach and some great restaurants. Can't wait to go back!

Perfect family spot for all to enjoy. Calmer , warm, blue waters. Small rocky areas for snorkeling. We saw over 20 different species of fish. I even had a large school of Palometa swimming with me. Theres a lifeguard. Protected swim zone marked clearly. Bathrooms with showers near the entrance. A few kiosks type stands. We wished we’d brought a small grill and made it a full day here. The shade trees were a blessing. Next time we will come more prepared.

We came here several times during our stay in Farjardo. Walked to a secluded beach our first day here, it was beautiful! Also hung out at the 'normal' beach a couple of times, swam too. Very nice and enjoyable!

Nice beach that is protected by a large reef at the mouth of the bay. You can drive a little down from the paid parking and park on the street and walk right over to the beach. There was a moderate amount of trash around and lots of seaweed. I do some snorkeling and say a lot of fish. Head for the buoy in the bay. Water visibility is fair in early April.

🌊 Seven Seas Beach – Fajardo, Puerto Rico 🌴 Seven Seas Beach is a beautiful, calm spot perfect for relaxing and enjoying a peaceful day by the water. The sand is soft and golden, the turquoise water is warm and clear, and the gentle waves make it great for swimming, kayaking, or snorkeling. There’s plenty of shade from palm trees, picnic areas, and clean facilities nearby, which makes it a great beach for families. You can even walk a little further along the trail to discover more private coves — definitely worth exploring if you love nature and quiet views. Parking is easy (there’s a small fee), and you can find food kiosks and local restaurants just a few minutes away in Las Croabas. It’s also close to the Bio Bay tours, so you can make it a full day — beach during the day and glowing bay at night! A calm, clean, and relaxing beach — perfect for families and anyone who loves that classic Caribbean vibe.

I didn't know what to expect, but this ended up being one of the coolest things I did in Puerto Rico. Watching the water glow every time my paddle touched it was pretty amazing.

Bioluminescent effect: 2.5 stars New moon night first time ever kayaking experience: 2.5-stars Whoever gave anything above 2.5 stars for the bioluminescent effect at Fajardo is on another planet. Whoever is doing the Laguna Grande more than once for the bioluminescent effect must be smoking or drinking something heavily. If you're looking for mainly for the bioluminescent effect, DON'T waste your money in Fajardo: head to Vieques on a new moon night and take the electric boat (only). You'll see the bioluminescent effect ALL THE WAY, WITHOUT need for tarpaulins over your head. It's a unique experience that cannot be captured in a photo. But, even there, keep your expectations in check; don't look for James Cameron movie type special effects. Don't waste your money on 'glass bottom' boats/kayaks in either place. The bioluminescent effect is visible only when the water is disturbed. In Fajardo, you can't see that even during the strokes of the kayaking oar. There is nothing to see in the water in the night. If you're interested mainly in night time kayaking, then it may be interesting to run into the mangroves in Fajardo and figure out how to get out of it yourself as a stark beginner. If you're doing kayaking without a guide from the tour company handling the kayak, you DO need to be (1) physically fit, (2) be able to quickly reason about the physics of oar movement and learn kayaking on the fly. The kayak companies do give instructions, but that's not sufficient for stark beginners in the night, differentiating your group from the others using colour and shape of small LED lights that are attached to the boats/vest.

Bioluminescent phytoplankton here are amazing, only a handful of places like this in the world. Go when there’s a new moon (no moon) and also low tide is a little better than high tide. Takes some effort to kayak in up the canal but definitely worth it. Many tour services at the Kayak Village, they will guide you up the canal through the mangrove trees, but not too tricky.

READ THIS OR BE DISAPPOINTED - I'd love to give these Bioluminescent Bay tours 5 stars, but this was the second time I've done a tour of a Bio Bay in the hopes of really getting a good look at the Bioluminescence, but no luck. The tour company, Tortuga's Tours, was great - well organized, excellent instructions, great guides. The problem, folks, is that the conditions need to be perfect to really see the bioluminence. It needs to be a new moon & completely dark. If the moon is out, you really won't get to see much. Luckily our tour guides knew this & brought tarps to put over us so we could kind of see the Bioluminescence when we splashed the water. Also, know that if you take the later of the tours offered you will be paddling a kayak in complete darkness through a narrow banyon grove canal with only a small light on the life vest of the person in front of you for light. The guides look after you, but it can be a bit unnerving. I thought it was cool, but a bit scary. Additionally, load up on bug spray! If you don't you'll regret it. All in all, unless conditions are perfect, skip these tours & go snorkeling instead.

The Ferry is kind of remote, so planning ahead for food and water is wise! The boats run on a fairly regular schedule. We did not do any research beforehand and had to wait about an hour for the destination we chose. Loading was easy and well organized. There are tents for shade. There was no outside space open at the time of our trip on the ferry which was a little disappointing. You can still see through windows but it didn’t hit the same as wind in your face! Overall though - no complaints, well managed, and friendly people.

I had a smooth experience at the ferry terminal. It was well organized and no complications at all. Not sure why so many negative comments about the organization. I arrived 2 hours before departure as I could not purchase tickets online and read so many bad comments about the in person purchase process. I could have arrived an hour before and still make everything on time. The ticket purchase took 5 min and then I had to park my car in the parking lot which is 10 min walk away. Car parking costs 15$ per day and has to be paid on exit at the machine. The ferry terminal also has a cafeteria with a lot of food and drink options to choose from at good rates. Hard working staff. All perfect

Well I must say this is not what we saw on tiktok. If you are planning a trip to LA culebra, now is not the time. The ferry area part was ok the people are friendly however the ride was rough. The wait times were ok we got tickets on site must be an hour before departure. Parking is close about a 5 minute walk. Donot eat or drink if you easily get motion sickness the majority of the people on the ferry were very sick. The ferry we took had cars for cargo I felt like that makes the ferry jump higher. On the way back we took the ferry with no car cargo and felt a little better. The island is very bad hardly anything open it seemed abandoned i don't understand where all the people go to. We rented a golf cart drove around to several beaches they were mainly empty or closed probably cause of the time of year. Overall to us was an experience but the views were not great at all. PLEASE take motion sickness meds to help you ride smoother.

This was an absolutely unacceptable and frustrating experience. I arrived more than one hour early to purchase a ticket to Vieques, and the line still barely moved. The issue was not the number of customers, it was the lack of urgency and professionalism behind the counter. The two women working appeared to be laughing, talking, and socializing instead of focusing on getting people through the line quickly. When customers are trying to catch a ferry, that kind of behavior is unacceptable. There is no reason a basic $4–$8 ticketing process should be this slow, outdated, and poorly managed. This entire system needs to be modernized immediately. Customers should be able to purchase tickets online or use self-service kiosks instead of being forced to wait in a line that does not move. Management needs to seriously reevaluate the staffing and operations at this location. If employees cannot process simple ticket sales quickly and professionally, then the process needs to be automated and replaced with a faster, more reliable system. Based on this experience, I would never recommend this ferry service to anyone. The lack of urgency, poor customer service, and outdated ticketing process made this one of the worst travel experiences I’ve had.

I’ve witnessed a family with their kids being discriminated against from two male workers, one I found the name, Lt. Garcia. These two males were like on a power trip, arguing with the females and a family. The supervisor and other crew members didn’t care and most likely won’t do anything. They were most definitely on time for their boarding, and these temp male workers, including Lt. Garcia intentionally closed the gates early, unable to board thus missing their ferry’s. We’ve also witnessed other passengers boarding either late or after the time, which was proof of their discrimination. This is very concerning for new passengers especially outsiders. Just be careful interacting with these folks. It’s a security guy with painted nails with a name badge that says Garcia.

Entrance fee $2 and parking by the hour. Looks like money used for clean restrooms, showers, picnic tables and benches in food area. Look for the WiFi tower decorated as a VERY tall palm tree. Beautiful sand, clear water, no rocks

We were hesitant to take the ferry but I’m glad we did it! What a gorgeous beach with beautiful turquoise water and white soft sand. This beach has facilities and food and drinks and you can rent chairs and umbrellas. Make sure to go early around 9am to enjoy the day. We arrived at noon and definitely felt we needed more time here. Regardless we absolutely enjoyed our visit!

One of greatest beaches in the world for a reason. The water is some of the bluest water I’ve seen in my life. Take a taxi since it’s not walkable from the port/airport. The locals are all very nice.

We love Flamenco Beach and Culebra. It is one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever experienced. The reef directly off the beach has seen better days but the beach, sand, vegetation, and amenities are excellent. If you are taking a car to Culebra be sure to make a reservation on the ferry.

no wonder they have such a high rating. food is phenomenal- you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. the pork ribs were the best we’ve ever had. here on a wednesday, kevin was super friendly and the food came out pretty quick! i can see how they’d be slower on a more busy night. such a great atmosphere too, there’s huge fish off the dock and some birds that swoop in to hunt them. great dock-front vibe and a fresh breeze.

We went there for dinner—just a heads up, there can be a bit of a wait to be seated. for appetizers, We tried the grilled octopus, which was really good and clearly the winner. The fried fish fingers were okay, and the coconut shrimp was decent but nothing special. For the mains, we had the kingfish, which was good, while the chicken was just okay. Solid drink selection overall.

An absolutely five-star experience! The food at Dinghy Dock Rest was simply excellent—flavorful, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was spectacular, offering a great vibe that makes you want to stay all night. On top of that, the service was truly exceptional; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel incredibly welcome. Highly recommend, and I will definitely be back!

The best spot for lunch and dinner on the whole island! I loved the spare ribs but also the chocolate brownie with ice cream was great. They also make good and strong cocktails 🍹 that will get you happy :)

We had a great time at Dinghy Dock! The server, Kevin, was so kind and attentive. When we ordered we didn’t realize that the red snapper was breaded, and my husband is gluten free. Kevin realized the error and the kitchen was kind enough to switch it mid order. The final result was delicious! My kids loved feeding the fish off the dock. Beautiful views, great food, excellent service, fun atmosphere…really a unique and yummy experience. Practical advice: based on previous reviews, we were worried there was going to be a long line to get in, but we didn’t have to wait at all. We went around 5 pm.

The Ferry is kind of remote, so planning ahead for food and water is wise! The boats run on a fairly regular schedule. We did not do any research beforehand and had to wait about an hour for the destination we chose. Loading was easy and well organized. There are tents for shade. There was no outside space open at the time of our trip on the ferry which was a little disappointing. You can still see through windows but it didn’t hit the same as wind in your face! Overall though - no complaints, well managed, and friendly people.

I had a smooth experience at the ferry terminal. It was well organized and no complications at all. Not sure why so many negative comments about the organization. I arrived 2 hours before departure as I could not purchase tickets online and read so many bad comments about the in person purchase process. I could have arrived an hour before and still make everything on time. The ticket purchase took 5 min and then I had to park my car in the parking lot which is 10 min walk away. Car parking costs 15$ per day and has to be paid on exit at the machine. The ferry terminal also has a cafeteria with a lot of food and drink options to choose from at good rates. Hard working staff. Well I must say this is not what we saw on tiktok. If you are planning a trip to LA culebra, now is not the time. The ferry area part was ok the people are friendly however the ride was rough. The wait times were ok we got tickets on site must be an hour before departure. Parking is close about a 5 minute walk. Donot eat or drink if you easily get motion sickness the majority of the people on the ferry were very sick. The ferry we took had cars for cargo I felt like that makes the ferry jump higher. On the way back we took the ferry with no car cargo and felt a little better. The island is very bad hardly anything open it seemed abandoned i don't understand where all the people go to. We rented a golf cart drove around to several beaches they were mainly empty or closed probably cause of the time of year. Overall to us was an experience but the views were not great at all. PLEASE take motion sickness meds to help you ride smoother.

This was an absolutely unacceptable and frustrating experience. I arrived more than one hour early to purchase a ticket to Vieques, and the line still barely moved. The issue was not the number of customers, it was the lack of urgency and professionalism behind the counter. The two women working appeared to be laughing, talking, and socializing instead of focusing on getting people through the line quickly. When customers are trying to catch a ferry, that kind of behavior is unacceptable. There is no reason a basic $4–$8 ticketing process should be this slow, outdated, and poorly managed. This entire system needs to be modernized immediately. Customers should be able to purchase tickets online or use self-service kiosks instead of being forced to wait in a line that does not move. Management needs to seriously reevaluate the staffing and operations at this location. If employees cannot process simple ticket sales quickly and professionally, then the process needs to be automated and replaced with a faster, more reliable system. Based on this experience, I would never recommend this ferry service to anyone. The lack of urgency, poor customer service, and outdated ticketing process made this one of the worst travel experiences I’ve had.

I’ve witnessed a family with their kids being discriminated against from two male workers, one I found the name, Lt. Garcia. These two males were like on a power trip, arguing with the females and a family. The supervisor and other crew members didn’t care and most likely won’t do anything. They were most definitely on time for their boarding, and these temp male workers, including Lt. Garcia intentionally closed the gates early, unable to board thus missing their ferry’s. We’ve also witnessed other passengers boarding either late or after the time, which was proof of their discrimination. This is very concerning for new passengers especially outsiders. Just be careful interacting with these folks. It’s a security guy with painted nails with a name badge that says Garcia.

Plaza Las Delicias is one of the highlights of Ponce. There’s so much to do around the plaza, tons of places to eat, coffee spots, bars, shops, and just a lot of energy throughout the area. It’s a great reminder that there’s a lot more to Puerto Rico beyond San Juan. The plaza itself has a lot of history too and has been the heart of Ponce for generations. You’re surrounded by landmarks like the cathedral and the iconic red and black Parque de Bombas firehouse, which gives the whole area a ton of character. Easy place to walk around for hours and just take everything in.

The Central Plaza for the City of Ponce. Each city/town in Puerto Rico has its own plaza and generally there is a Catholic Church, city hall, and business which are nearby. This plaza hold the historic Parque de Bombas, the Church, City Hall and various businesses. As you stroll the plaza they also have a huge fountain and various statues of important iconic people in Puerto Rican history. It is a wonderful community gathering center, often hosting live music and entertainment.

Beautiful! My husband and I were baptized here, so it holds a very important and special place in our hearts! Church retreat and religious services are extremely peaceful here. You feel the presence of God once you start praying! Love it!

Iconic place to visit in Ponce, PR. Beautiful beach, kids park, kiosks with delicious comfort food and drinks, a beautiful marina. Plenty of free parking. Currently under renovation! Update: Our beloved major, Hon. Marlene Sifre, is restoring La Guancha which was destroyed by Huracane María in 2017 and later on by multiple earthquakes. Stay tuned for upcoming renovation pictures and vids.

Is a nice place to go for a walk, and a drink or something to eat during the day or at night. Security is good and there is plenty of parking. El paseo de la Guancha (the boardwalk) where the kiosks were is closed and will be for a couple of years until they rebuild it after the huricane and the earthquakes damaged it, but visitors can still go and enjoy the place. There are beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea were you can dip your feet or get wet from head to toes. A lot of families go there to enjoy the afternoon and get tje kids to run and play.

Sad that the boardwalk is still closed, but there is still lots to do. There are plenty of vendors, and events planned every so often. If you're lucky, you might catch the sea turtles laying eggs, or hatching and making their way to the sea for the first time.

We visited on a Monday. There was nothing going on but a few couple having private picnics under the trees and enjoying the day. We looked around and took photographs. Nothing much to see as nothing was open. There was no food trucks and they had prisoners there cleaning up. We did enjoy the walk and stretched our legs while snapping a few pics. We did not get the pleasure of seeing any sea turtles which was our reason to visit but it was pleasant. It was free to walk around the grounds and beach.

The food and employees are exceptional. The customer is always first in this bakery. They cater to the elderly and the locals and there just amazing... A must visit if your in the town of Lajas PR

Recently, walked out twice due to the long lines and long wait. Both times it was in the evening. They used to have the best sandwiches but not anymore. They must of also changed their baker because even the bread has lost its quality.

All I have to say is please get the Cuban sandwich ! I never tasted a Cuban sandwich so warm yet the perfect consistency of bread and meat ! The meat seems so fresh the price was good and they didn’t over pack it with just veggies ! I live in NYC so for me to say this you should definitely try!

Incredible beach for swimming and snorkeling. Parking fills up fast so be sure to get there early! You can also park along the road leading to the lot for free, if you don't mind a walk down to the beach.

Wow! Wow! This beach is absolutely amazing!!! So beautiful. There is not enought shade, they dont rent umbrella nor chairs, however the color of the water is turquoise and crystal clear. You can see on the background an inlet with mountain. The cost to go in is $9.00

Fun beach with clean sand and clear water. The highlight of the beach is jumping off the pier and snorkling around the pier to see all of the fishes! However, parking is crazy and I wouldn't bother visiting on the weekends. The food stands here are also insanely over priced. I would recommend visiting!

Arrive early for limited parking or prepare for a long walk. Lots of beach area and rocks and 2 caves if you can find them. It does tend to get crowded though. Definitely a highlight of my trip.

It is cool beach for snorkeling and watching sunset. They have parking but it is full, so you may need to park on the side of the street like many people do. They have tasty and pretty cocktails, like piña colada in pineapple ($15).

Very clean and pretty area. Very soothing and relaxing to listen to the massive waves crashing. Can not go up into the lighthouse. The woman’s restroom had no teepee! And the big binoculars to pay to look out with where ALL broken and just there for decorations. Regardless it’s a great area for picture taking and walking.

Cool spot to check out, the lighthouse is pretty cool they have some vendors on site sometimes and the bar at the end is really fun to check out along with the amazing sunset views

I went today on Easter Sunday around 10 a.m., and it was very quiet. Yesterday, I tried to go at the end of the day to catch the sunset, but it was impossible to find parking.

We had a wonderful experience at Museo del Niño de Carolina. It’s the perfect place for kids to learn while having fun. The exhibits are interactive, engaging, and very well maintained, offering something exciting for children of different ages. The environment feels safe, clean, and family friendly, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy the visit. The staff was friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. It’s definitely a must-visit if you’re in Carolina with kids fun, educational, and full of memorable moments!

Definitely the biggest, most extensive children’s museum I’ve ever seen! The only issues are: 1) lots of things are additional cost and it adds up and 2) they are extremely inefficient… there’s so many staff members, but there’s long, very slowly moving lines. Like getting in took about 45 mins of waiting in a line (that wasn’t very many people, just moved incredibly slowly). Then, like the kid train, you can’t buy tickets there, you have to go all the way back to the front to get tickets (which cost extra). So silly. But, again, so huge - we didn’t even have time to see it all.

I really wanted to like this museum. My niece loves children museums and making new friends. However, most of the exhibits were either partially or totally nonfunctional. For example, there was an interesting rhythm wall where you could set the beat for various percussion instruments. Only one drum worked, and the program crashed after a couple minutes. Furthermore, we paid the extra money to enter the zoo. The animals were not in great shape. Many of them had enclosures that were far too small. A donkey spent the whole time on concrete without any shade or grass. When we left, he was resting in a pile of his own feces and he had a sore above his eye.

I loved this museum…and then we got to the “mini zoo”. I never write reviews but I’m so horrified by the condition of the animals that I feel like something needs to be said in the hopes of getting them some help. There’s a miniature horse whose hooves are so overgrown that he can’t even walk on one leg. He’s losing hair and it looks like he has mange. There’s a super sweet donkey that also has super overgrown hooves and is starting to lose hair. The pens are tiny and all hard concrete, there’s not even a soft spot for them to lay down. It’s severe neglect and beyond cruel to leave them in this condition. PLEASE GET THESE ANIMALS TO A VET AND BETTER LIVING CONDTIONS!!! Like honestly would love to donate to anyone that can get a vet here

Very reasonably priced and the kids get a cool bus ride from the parking lot to the museum. Lots of fun learning activities for kids of all ages. New options like boat rides for kids over 3 and a safari train. Mini zoo was full of lots of friendly animals. This was our second time going and both of our kids (4yr & 1.6 yr) both loved it. Definitely recommend bringing your kids and refreshments because it does get hot outside.
